1. Advancements in Hydraulic Hose Assembles

Hydraulic hose are used in a wide variety of market sectors in industry across the globe as a means of transferring high pressure gas or fluid in machinery and industrial plant processes. The hazards of possible leakage of high pressure fluid transfer are great, so the safety mechanisms required are put through stringent testing procedures. All auxiliary adaptors, staple couplings, valves and other hose fittings are fully tested under real world conditions for endurance and flexibility.

Staple Adaptors

There are many industrial hose connectors on the market today, most notably is the hydraulic hose staple adaptor. Staple adaptors are effectively mechanisms which rigidly connect together 2 end of hoses which are being used for high pressure fluid transfer in hazardous environments such underground mining industries and tunnelling construction sites. The actual connection needs to be held together under extreme pressure and in order to do this staple adaptors utilise a staple lock which is literally a curved off piece of steel in the shape of a staple u-bend which is fed into each of the male & female couplings of the hydraulic hose.

Rotary Staple Couplings

Large scale bore mining requires hydraulic hose that can sustain high pressure fluid transfer whilst moving freely because of vibration caused by the high stress environment. For these applications rotary staple couplings have been developed which reduce torsional stress by allowing the hose assembly to move freely during operation whilst retaining a high pressure locking mechanism.

Hydraulic Hose Assembly Protection

With the hazard environments that hydraulic hose assemblies are required to work in, there needed to be protection solutions in place to protect the outer surface of the hoses in use. Nowadays there are a number of protective coatings designed and tested to be resistant to abrasion and extremes in temperature. Protection can be used for both single & bundled hose in use in mining and other industrial environments. These types of hose protection are also ideal for oil spill and electrical cabling and there are even grades of protective sleeve which are silicon coating for fire resistance.

Hose Assemblies

Custom made hose assemblies for specific locations around the world in a variety of market sectors are common place due to the particular environments that hydraulic hose are used in. Though there are certain product lines which are generic and can be purchased on the web, the vast majority have to be ordered from manufacturers who are able to produce bespoke hose assembly solutions which have been fully tested to pass stringent international industrial standards.

2. Uses for Hydraulic Hose - Mining Products

Hydraulic hose mining products are used in a number of industries including coal mining, tunnel building, petroleum related processes and welding. They allow liquids to be able to transfer at very high pressure safely and securely in hazardous environments. Hose are made from high quality rubber and are heavily insulated which increases their durability whilst being able to direct fluids in at consistent rates essential for the industries that they are being used in.

High Pressure Mining Hose Products

Hydraulic hose are ideal for mining particularly within those mines where fluid transfer is needed deep underground. Water used for the continual cooling of mining machine heads during long periods of time during the day and night needed to be transferred or pumped at high pressure to the coal face from the surface and out again.

This pressurised water not only acts as a reliable method of cooling machinery and the local area around the machinery but also acts as a cleaning process which ensured the mining machinery is working at its ultimate capacity by removed dirt and debris. Then this spent or dirty water is transferred back out of the mine by means of the same high pressure hydraulic hose used to pump it in. Obviously the water needs to return to the surface at the same rate as fresh cool water is pumped in to maintain a balance at all times otherwise the mine may flood rapidly.

Mining Hose Assembly

The hydraulic hose assembly used within mines is tailor made for the job with heat resistant coating being added to reduce damage from high pressure and heated water and other fluids from damaging the hose over time. The water being transferred out of the mine won't be clean water as it will be full of debris from the mining machine and as such is capable of causing damage to the interior of the hydraulic hose. With this mind mining hose is specially designed to resist damage such as this and at high pressure too. The whole assembly including adaptors, hose inserts, ball valves and couplings are all vigorously tested within controlled high pressure environments to ensure that they all are able to withstand many years of use in industry.
